Hot Chocolate Bar -Home Decor Delights-

Hello!

In our home when winter's chill is upon us or we return inside from playing in the snow, we enjoy warming up with a steaming cup of hot chocolate! The delightful drink was being appreciated so frequently that I created a hot chocolate bar. Instead of settling for an ordinary cup of hot chocolate, now my favorite winter treat is ready to be enjoyed at any time with a variety of toppings!

Let's explore some ideas for specific hot chocolate bar items:

1) The Base- There are different options for the base of hot chocolate. Traditional cocoa powder or melted chocolate can be mixed with either milk or water. I prefer mixing milk with several scoops of cocoa powder to make my drink extra chocolatey!

2) The Toppings- Displaying an array of toppings on your hot chocolate bar can sure be fun! Your taste buds may prefer a more simple cup of hot chocolate or crave toppings galore with it. Toppings can include marshmallows, crushed candy canes, peppermint spoons, whipped cream, chocolate shavings, cinnamon sticks and/or caramel sauce.

3) Unique Concoctions- I found online a couple creative combinations on how to make an unique cup of hot chocolate. All three options sound delicious to me!

*Peppermint Patty: add a splash of peppermint extract to your hot chocolate and top with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candies

*S'mores Delight: add marshmallows, chocolate shavings and crushed graham crackers to your hot chocolate

*Nutty Professor: add in a spoonful of Nutella or peanut butter to your hot chocolate

I created a poll on my social media asking how my viewers prefer their hot chocolate. The choices were "plain & simple is delightful", "a little extra cocoa/a few marshmallows" or "is there such a thing as too many toppings?!" The results ended with 40% plain & simple, 30% a little extra and 30% all the toppings.
