Hello!
My que on starting to transition my home from winter to spring is the arrival of constant warmer weather in Missouri (even though it is still February). A great place to start "inviting spring in" is on a front porch. It is the place of first impressions when guests arrive at your home and if you are like me, my front porch goes pretty untouched during the winter months. Whether a front porch is cozy and compact or large and sprawling, there are ways to create a warm inviting welcome that reflects the season. In a couple weeks, when I know Spring is officially here, I will share some more stylish finds that can be used on a front porch during Spring!
Let’s explore some specific ways to refresh a front porch when starting the transition from Winter to Spring:
1) Swap Out Winter Accents: Take down and pack away wreaths, doormats or artificial flowers with any remains of winter such evergreen, red berries and snowflakes.
2) Seasonal Door Wreath: The front door is the focal point of your porch so add a lively and fresh wreath that matches your style. Consider white or cream hued flowers and lush greenery. I used a heavy duty suction cup wreath hook from Amazon for hanging my wreath.
3) Welcoming Decor Accents: Popular front porch greetings used on doormats, signs and wreaths are "welcome", "hello", "home sweet home" or your last name's first letter. "Welcome" is obviously my favorite front porch greeting. I also used a vinyl siding heavy duty hanger from Amazon for hanging both welcome signs on my front porch.
4) Charming Decorative Touches: Decorative touches added to a front porch can be very charming. Lanterns or wooden signs are common year-round items.
Come Refresh the Front Porch with Me:
I created a poll on my social media asking how my viewers feel about the month of February coming to an end. The choices were "Where have the first 2 months gone?", "More winter/snow please..." or "Ready for March/Spring!". The results ended with 66% ready for Spring! I am ready too...so "come refresh the front porch with me". I have shared the items I used and the Amazon links for each item below. Simply click on "Shop My Finds".

Enjoy your front porch refresh,
Ang Nicole
